The story of Hanabee
π» - First off, 'Hana'. A name as diverse as the world itself π. A beautifully versatile word, unfurls a bouquet of meanings across cultures. In Japanese, it's a graceful 'flower' πΊ. In Korean, it's 'the number one' π₯. Hawaiian gives it the meaning of 'work' or 'craft' π¨, while in Maori, it symbolises radiance and love. Coincidentally, it's also how my friends in Indonesia affectionately pronounce my name, Hannah.
π - Adding a buzz to Hana is the 'Bee', my favourite garden sentinel and the harbinger of joyous spring and summer. These tireless pollinators, fluttering amidst the blooms, are an emblem of my abiding love for nature.
π - Lastly, we have 'Hanabi' or 'flower fire' in Japanese. This term paints a pretty picture of fireworks, reflecting their cultural significance in Japan. For me, it's a nostalgic trip back to my childhood in Indonesia during the Eid period. The tradition of buying unique fireworks, lighting them up in the rice fields, and spending the night watching them with family is a cherished memory of mine. Everyone, even those who had moved away, would return home during this time, a phenomenon known as 'mudik'.
These three elements intertwine to form Hanabee, a name that encapsulates my love for nature, my cultural heritage, and my personal identity. So, enjoy your time here, you're always welcomeπ»
